The looming structure stood tall and proud, its extravagant architecture making it look more like a castle than a mere manor house. The grounds were immaculately kept, with well-manicured gardens and pathways leading up to the grand entrance. Despite the beauty that surrounded her, she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable given her history with the mansion. Its walls held plenty of secrets. Secrets she had not been able to find during her time in the mansion. The same double doors they now stood in front of once felt welcoming. Now? Now they were just a reminder of her abusers.
